The new range of FS Cables hydraulic cable cutters are proving popular as a safe and easy way of cutting large size armoured or unarmoured power cables.

The range includes four types of self-contained pumps and cutters to cover most applications, and two types of separate pump and cutter heads.

Cutting large cables with traditional, non-hydraulic cable shears, hacksaws or disc cutters can be dangerous to the operator, requiring great physical effort or an available power supply.

The FS Cables hydraulic cable cutters are self-contained and require relatively little effort to cut through even large armoured cables. They can all be used in confined spaces.

The separate cutting heads are also suitable for machinemounting with the pump either foot or hand operatedand located in a convenient position. This is linked tothe head by a flexible hydraulic hose.

They can also be powered by the machines ownhydraulic power source or an electro-hydraulic power pack.
