RS-232 Foil Screened Multipairs 24AWG

Widely used for computers, point of sale, control systems, and RS232 applications. This is a general purpose overall screened twisted paired cable.
    

Construction

Tinned copper conductor 24(7) AWG, 0.22 mm², PVC insulation, colour chart 3. Twisted into pairs, overall aluminium/polyester foil screen, tinned copper drain wire (24AWG), PVC sheath on standard cables. UL Style 2464 300V 80°C. Capacitance: core to core 98pF/m, core to screen 164pF/m.

Armoured (SWA) versions are available on quantities as low as 100 metres.

At FSC we refer to LSHF as Low Smoke Halogen Free

This term is interchangeable with LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), OHLS (Zero Halogen Low Smoke) and FRNC (Flame Retardant Non-Corrosive). Beware of the terms LSF (Low Smoke and Fume) or RP (Reduced Propogation), when relating to signal or control cables will normally be modified PVC and produce 'Loads of Smoke and Fume'!

Fire retardant, fire resistant, flame resistant or flame retardant?
