F&S Cables - RiserShield LSHF Cables

RiserShield 0.6/1kV

Risershield is a new 0.6/1kV dual screened power, control and signal cable using Low Smoke Halogen Free materials throughout.

Developed to run alongside power cables this cable is particularly suited for running clean supplies to computer equipment. The shield is effective at reducing both radiated and induced interference.

The class 5 flexible conductors ensure the cable can be easily routed even through confined spaces.

Cable Construction

Fine copper wire strands to IEC60228 class 5, XLPE insulation, cores twisted together, overall aluminium/polyester foil screen & tinned copper wire braid, Low Smoke Halogen Free sheath – black.

At FSC we refer to LSHF as Low Smoke Halogen Free

This term is interchangeable with LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), OHLS (Zero Halogen Low Smoke) and FRNC (Flame Retardant Non-Corrosive). Beware of the terms LSF (Low Smoke and Fume) or RP (Reduced Propogation), when relating to signal or control cables will normally be modified PVC and produce 'Loads of Smoke and Fume'!

Fire retardant, fire resistant, flame resistant or flame retardant?
