Welcome to Wired from FS Cables. With our quarterly newsletter we hope to bring you news and views from the cable industry as well as information and updates about our company. Each edition will focus on a particular range of cables, from the more popular types such as Data and Coax, to the more specialist products like Transducer cables and Signal cables.

Issue 1 - Winter 2006   Issue 2 - Spring 2007  
The first edition of Wired focuses on the turbulent price of copper at the end of 2006 as well as a feature on the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. Products featured are the Draka Firetuf range of Data and Coaxial cables, as well LF319 and Telecoms cables.
Issue 2 of Wired leads with the shift towards production in the Far East and it's implications on the cable industry. We also try to clear up the confusion surrounding Low Smoke Halogen Free cabling with our article - 'LSHF - seeing through the smoke'. Lutron and Transducer cables are also featured.

Issue 3 - Autumn 2007   Issue 4 - Spring 2008  
The Autumn edition of Wired includes the first installment of a regular feature - 'What's in a cable', starting with part 1 - conductors. We also take a trip down to the site of the O2 Arena to which we supplied a range of cables. Q&A this month features an interview with warehouse manager Kevin Rainbow.
A slight delay in bringing you the 4th installment of Wired meant the seasons greetings and best wishes were left on the cutting room floor. Now we are all settled in at the new premises it's back to business as usual. This issue focuses on the scaremongering surrounding 'rogue cable' from abroad and steps you should take as a cable buyer to protect yourself.

Issue 5 - Summer 2008   Issue 6 - Spring 2009  
Two key issues dominated issue 5 of Wired - firstly FS Cables move to larger 55,000 sq. ft. premises and secondly the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations coming into effect. We also take a look at duct grade and armoured Cat-5 which has proven popular at the exhibitions we have attended this year, also which are reviewed in this issue.

Issue 6 of Wired launches issue 9 of 'The Little Red Book'. At 128 pages, this cabling guide is our most comprehensive yet. Also covered is an overview of two new stock products - NoBurn fire alarm cables and the new Antennax range of ultra low loss coaxial cables. Wired also examines the braiding, screening and armouring options available in part 4 of 'What's in a cable?' and has a Q&A with FSC Global director Gavin Clements.

Issue 7 - Summer 2009   Issue 8 - Winter 2009  
Issue 7 of Wired focuses on the FSC range of tough, durable duct grade cables and how they can be used in external installations. Similarly, the fifth installment of 'What's in a Cable' covers the manufacturing process of jacketing and sheathing. We also take a look at the DSEi exhibition and talk to the FS Cables Marketing Department.
Wired Issue 7
Issue 8 of Wired sees FS Cables make their YouTube debut with the LSF vs. LSHF cigarette lighter test. What better way to demonstrate the difference between a zero halogen compound and a modified PVC than to set fire to them! Also featured in issue 8 are the results of the Customer Feedback Survey, KNX cable certification and the award of ISO14001 accreditation - FS Cables have 'gone green'.
