areas, these flat cables are constructed from Halogen free materials.
Rated at 600/1000V and able to work at -40°C, they are suitable for
even the most arduous environments. Not suitable for use in elevators. |
Construction Fine copper wire strands to BS6360 class 5. LSHF
TPR Rubber insulation, colour coded to BS7671/HD308
S2 for 4 core cables, 8 and 12 core cables numbered. A green/yellow
earth conductor is included. Cores laid parallel. Black cold resistant
outer LSHF sheath.

At FSC we refer to LSHF as Low Smoke Halogen FreeThis term is interchangeable with LSZH (Low Smoke Zero
Halogen), LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), OHLS (Zero Halogen Low Smoke)
and FRNC (Flame Retardant Non-Corrosive). Beware of the terms LSF (Low
Smoke and Fume) or RP (Reduced Propogation), when relating to signal or
control cables will normally be modified PVC and produce 'Loads of Smoke
and Fume'!
Fire retardant, fire resistant, flame resistant or flame retardant?These terms are often misunderstood. Most cables when
exposed to fire will not carry on functioning. If you require cable to
