This LSHF alarm cable is designed for interconnecting sensors and control panels and is widely used throughout the security industry for reliable low-voltage signalling and control applications. It is suitable for use in alarm systems across commercial, residential, and public installations where safety and performance are critical.
The cable is constructed with flexible 7/0.2mm stranded tinned copper conductors, providing excellent handling characteristics during installation. Each conductor is insulated with Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) material, and an overall polyester tape plus aluminium foil screen with 100% coverage helps deliver strong protection against electromagnetic interference.
A tinned copper drain wire is included to ensure effective grounding of the screen, improving overall noise immunity and signal stability. The white LSHF outer sheath provides enhanced fire safety performance by reducing smoke density and halogen gas emissions in the event of fire, making it suitable for use in sensitive indoor environments.
With an operating temperature range of -30°C to +90°C and a nominal overall diameter of 5.15mm, this cable is designed for ease of installation in confined spaces. It is compliant with BS EN 60332-1-2, BS EN 61034-2, BS EN 60754-1 & 2, RoHS requirements, and CPR regulations, achieving a B2ca-s1a,d1,a1 classification for fire performance and safety.
