Photovoltaic Solar Cable
With the growth in renewable energy sources, the demand for specialist cables to meet specific requirements has also increased. While the cables used to link solar panels to each other or to a regulator are relatively simple, the environments they operate in can be very hostile. Ultraviolet (UV) can be extremely damaging to conventional cable, breaking down standard insulation within a matter of months in some cases. Heat and weather can also be very destructive.
These photovoltaic solar cables / PV Cables are designed to work in extreme conditions with UV stability and a temperature range of up to 120°C. They are primarily used for interconnecting power supplies in photovoltaic (PV) systems, such as solar panels.
These photovoltaic cables feature flexible class 5 stranded tinned copper conductors, a Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) cross linked rubber insulation and an LSHF cross linked rubber outer jacket in black or red.
