YY PVC Multicore Cable

YY PVC multicore cables offer flexibility through the use of fine copper wire stranding and pliable PVC compounds. YY cables are ideal for use on portable or movable equipment or where flexibility will make installation considerably easier.

600/1000V grade YY cables are now available in sizes above 0.75mm² as are American UL listed versions. Where resistance to water or many oils is required, polyurethane (PUR) jackets offer excellent protection and are available on short lead times.

FS Cables YY cables are available either number or colour coded, from 0.5mm to 120mm in some core configurations.

Construction

Fine copper wire strands to IEC 60228 class 5 or class 6 depending on cross section. PVC insulation with either number or colour coding. A green/yellow earth core is normally included in cables with more than 2 cores in 0.5mm² and above. Cores twisted together, grey PVC sheath.
