About the Sales Executive Job

This is a consultative sales position; you'll use your B2B sales, account management, excellent customer service and communication skills. You will be joining a strong sales team of 13 covering a wide range of customers including re-sellers, electrical contractors and manufacturers across the whole of the UK.

You’ll be customer focused and pride yourself in delivering results through an excellent consultative sales approach and “can do, will do” attitude.  We are a small team with a lot of passion and pride in what we do.  We support each other and aim to develop your skill set to be the best you can be.

You will be given full product and technical training, we'll support you to learn and develop your knowledge of our industrial products. We’ll give you the confidence to provide customers with account management service and consultative technical sales processes.

Main Duties: 

  • Planning and outbound calling of new prospects to build long term profitable sales, selling products by establishing contact and developingbrelationships and recommending solutions
  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries ensuring customers are quoted and orders are processed via Customer Service
  • Maintaining clear customer records on company CRM
  • Ongoing account management and growth of your customer portfolio
  • Listening to customer requirements creating detailed proposal documents and presenting appropriately to make ‘the sale’
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  • Challenging any objections in order to convert your quotes
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues

Requirements: 

This role would be ideal for someone who has 2-3 years or more experience in B2B internal sales and/or account management looking to develop their sales skills further, or someone looking to get back into sales. 

  • B2B telephone sales experience, ideally consultative or technical sales (e.g. tech, construction, industrial)
  • Client relationship skills
  • Enjoys working to sales targets and goals, always striving to overachieve
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive, confident and determined approach
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
  • High degree of self-motivation, ambition and energy
  • Good level of numeracy
